Sandalure 18 · Fragrance Notes Explained

Sandalwood · Geranium · Vanilla · 100% Natural Soy Wax

How Sandalure 18 Was Built

Most candles arrive at a scent. Sandalure 18 arrives at a state.

The fragrance is structured in three stages — dry warmth at the open, herbaceous depth at the heart, smooth sandalwood and vanilla at the base. The arc moves deliberately from early evening to late night, from unwinding to settled.

This is not a candle for the morning. It is a candle for the hour after the day ends.

Fragrance Notes · Full Breakdown

Top notes of the Sandalure 18: cinnamon, nutmeg, and black peppercorns, presented in a minimalist style for perfumery and fragrance development.

Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Black Pepper

Sandalure 18 opens dry, not sweet. Cinnamon here is not baked or foodlike — it is the dry, bark-adjacent version that reads as warmth rather than spice. Nutmeg rounds it, and a thread of black pepper keeps the opening from settling too quickly.

This is a brief transition layer. It signals the shift — from the pace of the day to something slower — then steps back.

Burn Instructions

  1. First burn: Allow the wax to reach a full melt pool across the entire surface — approximately 2–3 hours. This prevents tunneling and establishes the character of every burn that follows.
  2. Wick care: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. A long wick produces excess soot and an uneven flame.
  3. Session length: Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before relighting.
  4. Depth of scent: Sandalure 18's woody and spiced base deepens from the second burn. Allow the first burn to run its full 2–3 hours before drawing conclusions about the full scent profile.
  5. Placement: Keep away from drafts, open windows, and direct airflow. Concrete retains heat — place on a heat-safe surface.
  6. End of life: When ¼ inch of wax remains at the base, discontinue use. Clean the vessel with warm water for reuse.
