How Lavendure 21 Was Built

Most candles are blended for smell. Lavendure 21 was blended for progression.

The fragrance moves in three stages — sharp citrus at the open, herbaceous lavender and eucalyptus at the heart, quiet amber and oakmoss at the base. Each layer serves a different purpose in the room, and in the hour.

This is not a lavender scented candle that smells the same from the first minute to the last.

Poured into 100% soy wax, the fragrance diffuses slowly — preserving this layered structure from first burn to last.

Fragrance Notes · Full Breakdown

The vibrant opening of Lavendure 21: a fresh lemon wheel, juicy orange slice, and glistening blackcurrants, representing the sparkling citrus and berry top notes of the fragrance.

Black Currant, Lemon, Orange
What you smell in the first 15–30 minutes

The lavender candle opens with cold-pressed lemon and orange — bright, sharp, brief. Black currant adds a darker edge that keeps the citrus from reading as clean or sweet.

This opening is fast-moving by design. It clears the air, resets the atmosphere, and fades quickly to make room for what follows.

Burn Instructions

  1. First burn: Allow the wax to reach a full melt pool across the entire surface — approximately 2–3 hours. This prevents tunneling and sets the character of every burn that follows.
  2. Wick care: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. A long wick produces excess soot and an uneven flame.
  3. Session length: Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before relighting.
  4. Placement: Keep away from drafts, open windows, and direct airflow. Concrete retains heat — place on a heat-safe surface.
  5. End of life: When ¼ inch of wax remains at the base, discontinue use. Clean the vessel with warm water for reuse.
