A relaxing candle isn't one scent. It's two decisions.
What do you want the room to do — feel lighter, or feel warmer? And when are you lighting it: to clear your head in the morning, or to slow it down at night? Most people reach for "a calming candle" as a category without narrowing further, which is why they end up with something that smells fine but never quite fits the moment.
We make two. One for each answer.

The Duo — both candles, one box |
Lavendure 21 — when the room needs to feel lighter
Black currant, lemon and orange open it. True lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), eucalyptus and fir needle carry the heart. Amber and oakmoss hold the base. Herbal and cool rather than sweet — it opens a room instead of filling it.
Best for: mornings · focus sessions · home office · the hour before sleep
Sandalure 18 — when the room needs to feel warmer
Cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper open dry, not sweet. Clove and geranium sit in the heart. Sandalwood, aged patchouli and bourbon vanilla settle underneath and deepen from the second burn onward. It quiets a room rather than scenting it.
Best for: evenings · reading · stress relief · pre-sleep
What makes a candle calming — and what doesn't
A throw you can sit inside. A candle that announces itself is not restful. Both fragrances reach full presence in 20–30 minutes in rooms up to 400 sq ft, then hold — noticeable when you look for it, absent when you don't.
A clean burn. 100% soy wax from U.S.-grown soybeans, a cotton core wick with no lead core, and phthalate-free fragrance oil at 8% load. No paraffin. Low soot.
Enough hours to build a habit. 50 hours per candle — roughly three months of evenings.
A vessel that doesn't become trash. Each candle is set in a 1.2 kg hand-cast concrete vessel, poured in two tones, no two identical. Freeze it for two to three hours when the wax is finished and it lifts out in one piece. What's left is a planter, a pen cup, or whatever your shelf is missing.
The vessel is permanent. The fragrance is not. Both are the point.
